Spectre 29204 Stainless Steel Flex Fuel

This flex fuel line is made of a stainless-steel flex braid over a nitrile rubber hose with an inner ply of Hypalon braided cord for extra durability. It is easy to cut with a hacksaw for habit installation and comes with a 1/4” inner diameter and a 4-ft length. This fuel line surpasses introductory instrumentation specifications and is approved for use with all types of gasoline, diesel fuel, and octane boosters.

Not Great

Not sure this stuff is true to size. 3/8″ doesn’t fit 3/8″ fittings so great. I bought 3 different sizes for the oil and fuel lines on my bike and none of it fit right. Maybe if I’d used the Spectre hose ends but I didn’t like them. Good price though and I got it quickly.

Good unit, I’ve already improved my vehicles performance 100%. Gas mileage has doubled from a horrible 8mpg to almost 20mpg. I combined this with the fel-pro gasket and dorman lines. A perfect combination. Saved about $125 over the other guys units (which were the same). Very pleased with the combo..

Good tool

Files cast rings pretty quickly and does nicely with steel rings.
Only complaint that I have is that it is difficult to use with smaller bores (75mm/3″)but seems like it would work great for larger bores. I had to feed the ring in from the other side to file the smaller bore rings.

Get respect–Get the El Grande horns from FIAMM!

The horns on my 2008 Toyota RAV4 were very pathetic with a wimpy roadrunner “beep-beep” sound. When I would honk, people would either laugh or look annoyed. I replaced the stock horns with a pair of these FIAMM El Grandes and what a huge difference. The RAV sounds like a huge SUV now! Now when I honk my horn, people move out of the way, children cry, and woodland and domestic animals scurry into the woods, bury themselves and cower in fear. I finally have some respect when driving my compact SUV. And for about [...] bucks and an easy 20 minute install, this is an easy mod for your car. Don’t put up with a wimpy horn any longer! Go El Grande!!

FIAMM 74100 El Grande twin horns

These horns sound like a larger American car’s horns. They fit my Subaru WRX by bending the brackets a bit, and it is a very tight fit. It was a bolt on mounting and the wiring clipped to the car’s original horn wiring. They sound much better than the “beep beep” type horns typical on most compact cars, and they are easier for other cars to hear or notice without being obnoxious. If it came with more flexible types of mounting brackets, it would be five stars.

Fiamm “El Grande”

The “El Grande” horn package is essentially a pair of Fiamm AM-80s (one “high tone” and one “low tone”). Each horn has its own mounting bracket, a red plastic cover and metal grill and the package includes a single relay. Based on an email response from Fiamm these horns have the same current draw and horn frequencies as a pair of Fiamm’s “Freeway Blasters”. The only real difference is the “El Grande”/AM-80 horns are physically smaller than the “Freeway Blasters” and, thus, might work better in smaller spaces. In addition, the “El Grande” package is cheaper than a pair of “Freeway Blasters”.

The mounting brackets appear to be adequate for the purpose but I chose not to utilize the red plastic covers because they did not appear to add anything for my application and would more than likely have complicated the installation in a small space. I also did not use the included relay (see references to air horns below) and therefore can not opine on its effectiveness or quality.

As reflected in other reviews I found the “El Grande” horn pair to work as advertised and sound much like a 1970′s Detroit automobile. The horns, in my opinion, are not excessively loud or unpleasant but are considerably more “noticeable” than the OEM horn on a Miata. I had initially considered an integrated air horn such as a Stebel Nautilus or Wolo Bad Boy but reconsidered when I realized the current draw on such a horn is ~18 amps (12 volts) and would likely require material wiring change to include a relay whereas the more traditional “El Grande” pair is (according to Fiamm) drawing closer to 8 amps could, in my opinion, merely utilize the existing wiring.

I would very much recommend these horns to anyone looking for an economical and easy install alternative to their OEM horn.

Comfortable and Does Not Get Hot

Who would think such a simple item like a steering wheel cover could be so valuable? This ergonomic cover turns my plastic “thin-feeling” steering wheel into a wider gripped, comfortable cushion. Plus, on hot days, I don’t burn my hands when I get in the car. They have these in all kinds of colors and style, but I chose this for its cushiony feeling and its simple black appearance. Note: The best way to get this to snap onto your steering wheel is to let it sit in the sun for while until it is warm and flexible. Then you’ll have an easier time pulling it over your steering wheel. It is a very tight.

It’s okay

Received this item – went on easy – however once on the steering wheel, the cover was just a little too squishy for my taste. Made the steering wheel feel very “fat” and annoying to hold.

So while the construction was okay – would recommend looking for one at a auto parts store so one can get the feel of it before purchase.

“snug fit”

Measure your steering wheel before you buy this product. It is said to fit up to 15.5″ diameter, but that is not true. My wheel is 15.5″ and I spent a very long time with more than one person trying to fit it on my wheel. It never fit. I think it would even be hard to get on a 15″ wheel. It is made well and the insulation would probably work, but they need to be more honest about the size of wheel it would fit. It seemed like my wheel would have to be at least an inch smaller.

It’s better to have one

I bought this device when my wife & I moved from Maine to Missouri. We had plenty of stops along the way & it’s better to have an added security.
My only gripe is that the Key System is just very ordinary, Maybe some people who purchased this device might have the same key as mine. But, it’s better to have one than nothing. I’m sure the car thieves will have a hard time.

Perfect for the Golf Cart

I park my Golf Cart in a near-by carport. I realized it was an ‘easy target’ and I needed some theft protection. After going to several auto stores and finding nothing that would work, I tried an on-line search. I found the “Dr. Hook” (pedal to steering wheel) product, it looked like it would work for a golf cart and was surprised the price was so reasonable. I ordered it and now I am a very satisifed customer and recommend it to my golf buddies.

this is a good item don’t forget to tilt your steering to it’s lowest position on the colume, than put your wheel,break lock on, this way they can’t move your steering wheel and remove your lock, and turn your wheels to the curb.

Works great!

It’s too bad that the previous reviewer had such a negative experience. These work great for us! Maybe the clean windows on our new mini-van was a factor in successful installation?

Pros:
1) Setup was super quick. I was even able to peel and reapply in order to reposition/straighten the shade. The shades have never fallen off or started peeling at the edges, though we’ve only had them up maybe 4+ months.
2) Fabulous at keeping out sunlight, better than the roller shades that suction to the windows because it actually shades or dims the light rather than diffusing the brightness through tiny holes like the suction kind.
3) Since they’re static clings, we can put up 2 shades side-by-side in our mini-van and not have any gaps like we had when we had 2 suction roller shades next to each other.
4) We can actually roll down the window with these on, without wrinkling the shade (or worrying about suction cups popping off. Btw, one of our suction shades won’t even stick to the window anymore). But we don’t really roll down those windows, anyway, so I can’t speak to its durability after frequent opening/closing.

Cons:
1) Can only think of one; as it is quite effective in keeping out light, it can be a bit dark to see out of, particularly at night, (or on gray, rainy days) and with a mini-van, I need to be extra careful about checking my blindspot. (Thus, 4 stars).

** EDIT/UPDATE **
After such a great experience with the first set, we purchased another set back in January. However, they didn’t seem to have as much “cling”, and didn’t last 12 hours before they fell right off.

As suspected, it turns out that the cold Chicago weather was the culprit! After waiting for the weather to warm up, I’m happy to report success! My husband cleaned the windows (just as a precaution), and was able to re-install the shades despite the fact that they were practically crumpled on the floor of our mini-van for a number of weeks before we rolled them up again to store for the remainder of the winter.

LESSON: Don’t install these in the dead of Chicago winter! Btw, we’ve never had any problems with the first set, even throughout the winter (they were installed in Aug/Sept). This second set is looking pretty good so far (it’s been about a month).

** Update #2 **
Sep 2007: Since installing our first set 2 years ago, our 2nd set last summer, and our 3rd set a couple months ago (with the arrival of #3), we have not touched the shades since they went up and they are still working great. Perhaps a couple tiny bubbles here and there, but haven’t had to do anything! (Still don’t roll down the windows). If anything changes, I’ll update, but they seem to be going strong.

Perfect for Southern California

Even though I have tinted windows, that late afternoon and early morning sun was beaming straight into my sons eyes. These are perfect. I followed the directions, kept the other reviewers comments in mind and even though there are a few bubbles, I really don’t care.

The only tiny complaint I have is that NO WHERE on AMAZON in the product description does it say you are not supposed to roll your windows down; as it states in the product instructions. However, since they are pretty inexpensive if they come off I can buy new ones or just get limo tint on my SUV.

Works well but does have its drawbacks

I was so excited to try out this product. My son would always pull the roll up shades off the windows while I was driving, and they just didn’t block out enough sun. These shades are pretty dark. So be extra careful when driving at night to look behind you. Before installing them on your windows make sure your car is cool inside and clean the windows really good with window cleaner. Have some patience. If your windows have any curve to them you’ll have some bubbles to work out. But once they are on they stay put. I’ve had my shades for a few months now in my car and they have not peeled off yet. And my son doesn’t pay any attention to them.

One ThIng Could Make This Five Stars

Works great in my ’05 Hyundai Tucson. Durable, stylish looks. Goes together easily (less than five minutes). Cheaper than comparable units on the big box pet store websites (and many more positive reviews). The only thing I don’t like is that the top feet don’t hit the ceiling of my car tightly. This is because the ceiling slopes down where the feet hit. Swivel-type feet on the top of the legs would make this five stars. But the unit hasn’t slipped, so it’s not a huge dealbreaker. I just hope it doesn’t mar the fabric in the ceiling…

Simple yet effective

The WeatherTech pet barrier installed VERY easily in my 2009 Murano. It took me about 8 minutes, and I am not mechanically inclined at all. It kept back my two golden retrievers with no problem throughout my 1500 mile journey. It was also much cheaper to buy it at amazon than it was directly from WeatherTech. I will buy another one for my other vehicle.

Love this seat cushion

We have a 2010 Subaru Forester and there’s only one thing we would criticize – the passenger seat sits too low and has no lumbar support. So, we decided to try this cushion. We just finished a trip across country of over 5000 miles, and we found this seat to be very comfortable and it gives us the lower back support we need on a long drive.

surprise

My wife, age 66, hated to travel due the pain she had to endure
during the ride. We purchased the “memory foam car seat @ $49.90
and much to our surprise…it worked. While riding from Pa. to N.C.
she had no pain. When she got out of the car, some returned, but during
the time she was on the seat…no pain. She has fibromyalsia, and
arthritis, and had a “lumbar lamindectomy” in 2006. So, we would
recommend trying this item….it did work for her….

be careful with too much lumbar support

The foam is fine; it’s excellent for smoothing out bumps in certain seats and allowing the user to slightly sink into its surface. However, if you have a problem with the lumbar support of your car seat digging into your back, this cushion will probably not help you. It adds more lumbar support material where you most likely already have a problem; you don’t want to add to your discomfort. If, however, you need more lumbar support, this cushion should work well.
